At Gonwo Times, accuracy and transparency are at the heart of everything I publish. If you believe you have found an error—whether factual, typographical, or otherwise—here’s how I handle corrections:
Reporting an Error
If you spot a mistake in any article, please let me know right away by emailing:

In your message, include:
- The title and URL of the article
- A description of the error (e.g. incorrect date, misspelling, factual discrepancy)
- Any supporting information or sources, if available
Review Process
Upon receiving your email, I aim to acknowledge receipt within 24 hours.
I will investigate the issue by reviewing original sources, consulting subject-matter references, and verifying with secondary sources as needed.
Making Corrections
Minor errors (typos, formatting, grammatical issues) will be fixed promptly, and a brief editor’s note will be appended at the bottom of the article, for example:
Editor’s Note (May 20, 2025): Corrected the spelling of “defence” in paragraph 3.
Substantive errors (incorrect facts, data points, names, dates) will be corrected as soon as verification is complete. An editor’s note will explain what was changed and why.
Transparency & Versioning
When substantive content is altered, a time-stamped correction notice will appear at the top or bottom of the piece.
I will never erase or conceal the fact that a correction was made.
Retractions
In the rare event that an article contains information that cannot be reliably corrected—such as a fundamental journalistic error or unauthorized use of copyrighted content—I reserve the right to retract the piece entirely.
Retracted articles will be clearly marked “Retracted” and remain accessible in the archive for transparency, with an explanation of the reason.
