Amazon has begun piloting a new AI-powered feature called “Hear the highlights” on select U.S. product detail pages, where shoppers can tap a button beneath the product image to hear a brief, conversational audio summary of a product’s standout features, notable customer reviews, and other key insights. Generated by Amazon’s large language models and voiced by AI “shopping experts,” these summaries draw on data from Amazon’s platform and across the web to help customers make quicker, more informed decisions. Currently limited to a handful of items, Amazon plans to expand the feature to more products over the coming months as part of its wider suite of AI shopping tools, which also includes the Rufus assistant, Shopping Guides, Review Highlights, Buy for Me, and Interests business-standard.com.
